Leo really “gets” women and their hair and how important it is to them. The thing he does best is LISTEN – so many hairdressers don’t. Once he’s listened to what you want he’s full of passion & enthusiasm if he thinks the style will suit you, but gently guides you away from it if if he doesn’t! He’ll come up with a style as close to it as possible though. He totally understands how busy women are so he’ll create easy to manage styles that can be cranked up with some product for the evening. He sees his clients as people – not just a haircut.

The thing I love most about Leo is his passion for hair! You can see that he loves his work. He’s always looking at how he can move forward and keep abreast of all the latest trends and styles. That makes me feel with him I’ll never be stuck in a rut with my hair – he gives me confidence to try a new look.

Quite simply, it is the personal touch that sets Leo head and shoulders above the rest. The fact that he is brilliant at his job is vitally important, but it’s these little touches that mean so much. The level of care is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble…ever.
Leo has a loyal team of people around him who follow the same ethos. From the way your appointment is booked, to the greeting in reception, to the blissful head and back massage whilst your hair is being washed, to the offer of a drink, you feel pampered and cared for from start to finish.
However, this doesn’t mean that Leo rests on his laurels. I know that he constantly reassesses all my treatments to ensure that what I am receiving is still the best option for me and that makes me feel totally reassured. I know that I am in expert, professional hands and his decisions have always been thought through, carefully explained and, importantly, right. Incredibly, the cut lasts until my next visit (and that has never happened with anyone else). Put simply, Leo ensures that I never have to think about my hair, he does all the thinking for me.
I always leave the salon looking so much better and happier than when I went in….it’s like taking the nicest of tonics
What do you think sets Leo Bancroft apart from other professionals you have used for the same services?
For me, the key difference is the level of care. Even after 6 years, I still love going into the salon. Although the salon has more than doubled in size and capacity since I initially started, the personal touch has not diminished, in fact I think it has just got better and better.
Leo and his team are always looking for ways to improve the salon and they love feedback. I think it is this energy and desire to give you the best haircut experience ever that sets them apart. Nothing is taken for granted or underestimated. It is a real joy to see this level of service sustained and even improved upon. From booking the appointment to the blow dry, the process is a pleasure. Little touches like pretty vouchers on your birthday are always appreciated…and they show that the team cares.

Why do you think that Leo Bancroft’s Services are Outstanding?
Leo’s services , knowledge, skills and advice are truly outstanding. I am not a celebrity, but that has never affected the service that I receive from Leo in any way at all. Leo always looks for ways to improve his service to me. For example, a couple of months ago he was cutting my hair and made a comment about the colour that had been applied to it. He wasn’t happy with the colour and asked the colourist to come over and have a chat about it. Even though he doesn’t do the colour himself, it was clear that he was very knowledgable in this area as well. He spent a long time going through different options that might give better results and a plan was drawn up. Sure enough, Leo was correct and the next time I had my colour done it was much improved. All of this was done, even though I hadn’t noticed that the colour needed changing in the first place!! I completely trust his instincts and advice from styling to advice on the most suitable products to use on my hair. The great thing about his service and advice is that I am always confident that he achieves the best possible result for me. He has made me aware that our hair changes with age and with different environmental conditions, and therefore what worked well a few years ago or even a few months ago might not work right now. Therefore, he is able to offer me something different on each and every visit and he is never complacent with his results. I am frequently asked by colleagues as to who does my hair – I think that speaks volumes. There have been occasions when it would have been less hassle for me to have my hair done in London – but I would never ever contemplate letting anyone else near my hair now. I would be willing to give up a whole day and travel to Leo rather than go to another hairdresser. I have never looked back since my first visit to Leo and can’t ever imagine being able to manage without him now. I may not be a celebrity but I am always treated like one by Leo.
What do you think sets Leo Bancroft apart from other professionals you have used for the same services?
There are many things that sets Leo apart from the other professionals I have used. For instance, my daughter Sophia is also a client of the Leo Bancroft salon. She is only 15 years of age and so she has had more junior members of the staff cutting her hair. However, she had been pestering me to book an appointment for her with Leo. So, as a special treat, I made one appointment for her. She was so delighted with the result, that she continued with her pestering for another appointment with him. Leo heard about this and about how desperate she was to have him do her hair. So, he talked with some of his staff about Sophia and offered her a complimentary hair cut whilst, at the same time, demonstrating to one of the junior members of his staff how he cuts her hair. This way, she is now able to get the same cut as he gives her but at a more realistic price for her age – and I have a very happy teenager! There was another occasion when, I had to go to a function at short notice. I phoned the salon to see if Leo could fit me in on the same day. He was fully booked but offered to come out to my house once the salon had closed that evening. He came around 6.30pm and did my hair for me at home! He has come to the house on several occasions after hours to accommodate my husband. My husband travels a lot and can’t always find the time to go into the salon when it’s open – that has never been a problem with Leo. When my husband was in hospital, he even offered to go into the hospital and cut his hair. There have been many occasions when he has walked me to the car park with an umbrella when it’s been raining. Honestly, in all the years I’ve been coming to Leo, I have seen the many changes that he has made in the salon and the constant improvements that he makes. I am never aware that these changes are needed, but I am constantly surprised by them. I can put my hand on my heart and truly say that I am not aware of anything that could be improved upon, but yet I know that the next time I go into the salon, something will have changed and I will be pleasantly surprised once again!

I first went to Leo when my hair was in the worst possible condition due to a incorrectly applied perm at another salon. Leo was responsible for not only returning my hair to its previous condition but greatly improving it to its best ever. Leo knows exactly what will work for me as an individual; the care and time that he takes getting to know and advising his clients means that he always delivers something that will work – it will suit their face, their personality, their hair type and their lifestyle. He is always up to speed on latest trends, styles, products, techniques etc. and is able to utilize them to keep things new, fresh and exciting.

My (near constant!) changing requirements in regard to my hair’s length, colour, style, cut etc. are always greeted with enthusiasm and executed better than I could ever hope for. He has dressed my hair for every occasion from weddings to parties to formal balls and it has always, quite simply, looked stunning. His skills are second to none and I am constantly in awe of the results that he achieves.
